Test Strategy:
Testing strategy is the high-level document which describe
the test approach for the project. Usually we create a separate test Strategy
for the complex and large project, but in case of small project we keep it as a
part of test plan.
Test strategy always refer the document like business requirement
etc, and it is a static document, usually we don’t change much in case of test strategy.
So, the conclusion is that test strategy defines the testing
approach for the project, set the guidelines and principle proceeding the
testing and designing the test execution. It is totally based on the things
like Different Testing Types need to be performed, Identify the different
testing levels, Identify the appropriate testing tool for the project, Identify
the different environment on which testing will be performed, different Role
and Responsibilities among the team, Identify the Project Risk and mitigation,
Test Schedule, test deliverable and Test Reporting & tracking.
Who creates the Test Strategy:
Project Manager OR Test Manager.
Advantage of creating
an effective strategy:
- · It is helps to communicate the testing objective and approach to different project stockholders.
- · It describes the required skills, tools needed and infrastructure for the project testing.
- · With the help of effective test strategy, we can identify the risk related to project testing.
